Description
“Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the most beautiful in the whole country?” This mirror is certainly worthy of a queen and unique.
Stylistically assigned to the colonial period, they bear witness to the Spanish rule over South America, especially Peru. The frame is painted gold, the decoration with natural motifs in the technique of reverse glass painting. Therefore, each mirror is unique and differs a little from the others. The larger ones are suitable as eye-catchers on the wall, the smaller ones are very handy and individual pocket mirrors.
Incomparably original and rare, we discovered these pieces in Lima and immediately acquired some for Arte-Indio.
